George Farish began working at this very location in 1974 for Don Comer Ford as a service writer eventually becoming the body shop manager. He worked for Don Comer up until 2003 when Cavalier Ford started operations at this location. He remained managing the body shop for Cavalier Ford until they moved to their location at Chesapeake Square where unfortunately they couldn't have a body shop due to environmental regulations.

At this point George wasn't sure what to do, he had ran a body shop practically his whole life, so he made the decision to start his own body shop right here at the same location where he started his career in the auto body industry. He assumed the lease on the building from Ford Motor Company and we opened our doors in 2009 as George Farish Collision Center.

Our slogan is "We will treat it like it's our own" which we've stood by since day one! George Farish’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned him numerous awards in customer service and excellence in overall performance, in the automotive industry.

In July 2017 George decided it was time to pass the torch! Jerry Brown, who had been with George since the Don Comer days, and was with him since day one at George Farish Collision Center took the reins, along with Matthew Shelton who had also worked with George for several years. Even though George has retired nothing has changed from the friendly faces you see in our office to the highly skilled body and paint technicians in the shop.

We continue to strive for excellence in all that we do and always remember to put our customers first and to provide the absolute best service because that is what you deserve!
